Lahore High Court bar has constantly played positive part: Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain
Lahore: A delegation of senior lawyers headed by newly-elected General Secretary of Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) Amir Saeed Raan called on Pakistan Muslim League (Quid-e-Azam) President and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader and former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and Chaudhry Moonis Elahi at their residence.
On this occasion PML Central Information Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha was also present. PML leaders heartily felicitated bar's newly-elected office-bearers. Delegation included Ahmad Owais advocate, Adam Saeed Raan, Akif Tahir, Abdul Raza Khan, Hamid Akram, Sheraan Zafar, Muhammad Ashfaq Amir and Nayyer Jamal advocate among others.
Talking to the delegation, Chudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said that Lahore High Court has always played its active and positive role in the provision of timely justice.
Chaudhry Moonis Elahi said that PML has given great importance to the opinion of the lawyers in every matter and will stand with them in future as well.
Amir Saeed Raan, who is also Additional General Secretary of PML Lawyers Wing , expressing deep gratitude to the PML leaders, said that Ch. Parvez Elahi ’s tenure in Punjab was the golden era, besides welfare and well-being of the lawyers community, ideal and effective measures were taken for ensuring provision of cheap and quick justice for common and poor peoples of Pakistan.
He also added that measures for lawyers welfare included provision of annual grants to bar associations, down to Tehsil level without any discrimination, setting of Punjab Criminal Prosecution Service, establishing lawyers residential colonies, free treatment and operation facilities for lawyers, construction of judicial complexes in every district, posting of legal advisors in every government department and setting up the consumer courts were the major
