LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) workers should remain steadfast as the days of the PML-Nawaz government in Punjab are numbered, PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi said on Thursday.
Moonis Elahi was addressing the Nazims of Lahore’s union councils at the Muslim League House. He said the Punjab government was involved in politics of vengeance, and the province had been turned into a police state.
He said the public was being looted while the police were busy in registering fake cases against political workers.
Moonis Elahi condemned police torture on faculty and students of Government Zamindar College, Gujrat. The Nazims complained against blocking of development funds and interference by the bureaucracy on the behest of the Punjab government.
Moonis Elahi praised the PML-Q Nazims for their support for the party.
